                          Definition of politics certainly can be explained in many ways with different perspectives. human beings are species with the capacity to reason and communicate with each other effectively using language. They can share their ideas and thoughts with each other. They can organize society & decide what is good and desirable for them. These special capacities of human beings give birth to their political life of them. Political theory analyses the present politics in society & discusses improvements in it.
                                      Various political questions that citizens come across can be studied rationally with help of political theory. There can be many ideas about what actually politics is. Most politicians will say that politics is a form of public service. Politics have a very conflicting image in society. many people hate politics for the reason that it involves criminals and manipulation.

1.What is Politics

                                   Many consider politics is a way through which we can change the world around us. But since, politics has become full of criminals and people who can choose any means to achieve their goals. Its negative image is more prevalent in society. The fields which are considered as full of innocent and gentle people, very rarely engage with politics.

                          Even though most of the people stay away from politics. Many say that we should stay away from politics, but politics is an integral part of society. It is important to know that every society needs a political organization. Without collective-decision making, it is not possible to regulate society. 

                 It is necessary for society to consider the multiple interests of its members to sustain. All the social institutions that emerged in society fulfill the needs of its members. These social institutions make us aware of our obligations to each other. Government is among the most important social institutions. How governments take form and function is an important part of politics.

                           Government policies have a direct impact on the living condition of citizens. Economical, educational, foreign policies of government affect people's life. The various decisions are taken by the Government affect the common people. People take interest in Government policies because they determine their standard and ease of living.

                        Various organizations are formed by people to negotiate with the government on the behalf of those, whose life is going to have an impact of government policies, People often discuss decisions and policies of government so that they can find a common path between two extreme sides. Some decisions are taken by the Government against a large section of society.in such a situation, we see long protests organized against Government decisions.

                  Politics is nothing but, to sum up, different opinions in society, towards a collective decision making with negotiation.

2.Importance of Politics

             The change taking place around us is having an impact of politics on it. The policies of the government are inspired by certain principles and values. These principles and values such as democracy, justice, equality, freedom, fraternity, etc; are helpful to achieve the aims of an ideal society.

                 Many countries have enshrined such values in their constitution. By protecting these values and principles the ideal purposes of ethical politics can be achieved. The ideal aim of politics should be considering the visions and desires of all sections of society. The ideal aim can be achieved only if we enshrine and protect important values and principles.

               The values and principles are emerged from different ideologies and debates, discussions from political thinkers as far back as the fifth century BCE to the modern world. The ideals of politics are studied in political theory. Political theory is important in studying various principles and values in politics.

               The meaning and definitions of various principles are always changing and evolving according to situations and context. Thus, it is important to focus on political theory with considering changes. Political theorists are able to clarify meanings and layers of many principles and values.

             People will generally think that why is it necessary for them to know about politics, But they forget that they are citizens of a democratic country. It is extremely important to be politically aware since their opinion can bring drastic change. It is necessary for democracy that citizens have a basic understanding of politics and are informed about the affairs of Government.

                  To be a responsible citizen in a democratic country, it is necessary to be reasonable and aware. The values and principles such as freedom, equality, and secularism are not abstract issues in our life. We often face unjust things in our lives and to prevent them, the values and principles in politics are necessary.

                By knowing politics, we can examine our ideals and concepts about the political sphere. We have our own opinions about what is just or unjust, but we don't know our opinions are reasonable or not. Political theory can make us aware and lead us to rethink and rebuild our opinions.

        Without discussions and debates, we can not come to the conclusion that the opinions we held are just. Studying politics will teach us to think systematically. It will help us argue in an informed manner. It will impart to us skills of debating and communication for common interests.
